Purrfect Friends Cat Rescue
The image in the middle above represents one of my favorite experiences I had with Purrfect Friends. The small kitten that curled up so trusting in my hand was from a feral mother that had been found in a hoarding situation. Naturally, having not had a lot of medical help, there were issues with the small kitten, but under one of the organization's experts' guidance we were able to give this baby another chance at a happy life and a forever home, which didn’t always happen depending on the medical case. It’s one of the most exhilarating feelings—knowing you saved a small life. The image to the far right is a more solid representation of the work that I did with Purrfect Friends. This is the first version of the rattle fish which was eventually scrapped for safety concerns, but served as the initial prototype for development of a successful toy. Creating a prototype and having to go back, analyze where the toy missed and where it succeeded, and then figuring out how to resolve the issue definitely put me into the marketing research mindset. I needed to know my audience and what Purrfect Friends was trying to accomplish before I could create an effective and sell-able product for them, and the rattle fish gave me that opportunity.
